[She Was Pretty] Where A Heartbreak Happened.

Namsan Open Air Botanical Garden (남산야외식물원) 258-148 Itaewon 2-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul (서울 용산구 이태원2동 258-148) The Namsan Open Air Botanical Garden is a park along Itaewon 2-dong, just across the famous Grand Hyatt Hotel . It is a famous destination for some soul-searching, couple dates, and family bonding moments. I couldn't not find this one. This Korean drama filming location   meant so much than I would have thought. For in this place, my thoughts were spoken out loud in the Korean drama She Was Pretty. This is where one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have ever watched was filmed. The pool scene was on a different level though. But just as painful. After the pool incident when Kim Hyejin ( Hwang Jungeum) was left alone when everyone went to save her bestfriend from drowning, she went home, drenched, and walked alone this beautiful park. There, she was laughed at by a couple. I teared up watching and understanding the irony of the scene. It was a very heartbr...

[She Was Pretty] It Was a Pretty Place They Chose for their Reunion. Too Bad, She Had to Hide from Him.

second photo from sihoon_bb Daejeon Municipal Art Gallery 155 Dunsandae-ro, Seo-gu, Daejeon 대전 서구 둔산대로 155 In the first episode of the Korean drama She Was Pretty, Kim Hyejin ( Hwang Jungeum ) decided to meet her first love, Ji Sungjoon ( Park Seojun )  only to realize that how she looks like is already far different from how beautiful she was back when they were in middle school. She then decided to hide in the dark and let her friend pretend to be her, just so the love of her life wouldn't get disappointed. This heartbreaking scene happened in the Daejeon Municipal Art Gallery. This Korean drama filming location is a huge and beautifully designed art institution in the province, dedicated to providing its people with moving art pieces. From the blogs I've visited, this apparently houses realistic sculptures of people, showing emotions that would touch your souls even in pictures. As for the Korean drama , there are two reasons why this appeal to me so muc...

Because We All Need to Know The Other Kill Me, Heal Me Filming Locations

The Korean drama Kill Me Heal Me has ended. It's yet to sink in on me but right now, I'm having separation anxieties because the whole ending thing was so abrupt yet it marked me so deep. I never knew I would get attached to the personalities, especially to Perry Park and Ahn Yona. The goodbye scenes were totally difficult to handle that I kept on bawling while watching the last two episodes. Immediately after the ending, I have concluded that this really topped my list, taking over It's Okay, It's Love 's position as my most favorite Korean drama . If you're a friend in my personal Facebook account, you might have seen my statuses saying I will definitely revolt if Ji Sung and Hwang Jungeum won't get awards for their acting. They're superb! I've got nothing negative to say towards Ji Sung! Boyoung's really lucky to have him! I know I've posted a lot of Kill Me Heal Me filming locations before but as an ode to this wonderful produ...

[Kill Me Heal Me/킬미힐미] When Everything Came Back to Oh Rijin, She Was Here

Dangung 875 Kwonyul-lo, Baekseog-eup, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 양주시 백석읍, 권율로 875) One of the most important parts of the Korean drama Kill Me Heal Me is when Oh Rijin ( Hwang Jungeum ) finally recalled everything after she saw the door to the basement in the Chairman's house. When she broke down, Cha Dohyun ( Ji Sung ) was there and he ran to her immediately but wasn't able to touch her, because he too remembered the past and was blaming himself for the lady's sufferings then. So that was filmed in Dangung , a gorgeous palace complex perched on a hillside in Gyeonggi. It offers a gorgeous view of the mountain and is a perfect site for those going on healing camps. If you ask me, it's like a mix of traditional and modern architecture, which makes it totally wonderful. The nature provides this serene atmosphere which will make you feel relaxed and invigorated. Now, if you recall, the next scene featured Oh Rijin with her 'twin brother...

[Kill Me, Heal Me] The Rooftop with the Graffiti of the Suicidal Ahn Yoseob

Hansin Building 12 Mapo-daero, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 마포대로 12) I'M SCREAMING OMGGGGGGGGG IT'S WHERE THE GRAFFITI DRAWN BY THE SUICIDAL PERSONALITY, AHN YOSEOB, CAN BE FOUNDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!! Since I watched the episode, I've been constantly asking myself:  Where's that Kill Me Heal Me rooftop? And that's why I'm so glad that I stumbled upon this blog saying it's in Mapo but there's no address so I had to go through the streets through maps to find the actual location. The only clue I've got were the pictures I got through screen caps and the pictures in the blog. But thank God for aerial views!!!!!!!! So basically, the rooftop scenes were a hit. Believe me, it was what convinced me that Kill Me, Heal Me is the next big thing in Korean dramas . It is in this scenes that I was convinced that Hwang Jungeum and Ji Sung are definitely A-listers when it comes to acting and their skills really got me on my knees. ...

[Kill Me Heal Me] The "Kill Me, Heal Me" Dating Experience

So everyone had watched Kill Me Heal Me ' s Episode 16? Cha Dohyun ( Ji Sung ) and Oh Rijin ( Hwang Jungeum ) went to a trip and if you ask me, it's a very romantic one. Except when it came to an end. Sigh. It's a beautiful experience, right? For most couples in Korea, this is how a date should be during autumn and winter seasons: a long train trip with their loved ones, going to a gorgeous province, visiting the beach.  And that is what our Dohyun and Rijin couple did. The destination: Gangwon Province. :) Want to do the same? Here's a guide: THE "KILL ME, HEAL ME" DATING EXPERIENCE 1. KORAIL TRAIN second photo from here To do your date this Kill Me Heal Me-way, you have to ride the KORAIL train to Gangwon-do. Actually, it's the same train Yongseo took to the same province to see the sunrise; only, our couple used the last coach which is practically more interesting although less comfortable. ^^ There, you...

[Kill Me, Heal Me/킬미힐미] KISS SCENE ALERT: Cha Dohyun & Oh Rijin's First REAL Kiss

second photo from this blog MBC New Building 267 Seongam-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 성암로 267) NOW THIS KILL ME HEAL ME SCENE WAS TOTALLY UNEXPECTED! When Cha Dohyun ( Ji Sung ) kissed Oh Rijin ( Hwang Jungeum ), it just totally blew me away. I didn't expect that one scene would actually lead into that awesome kiss. Maybe I'm just exaggerating or what, but that particular part of the episode marked the drama on my list of top favorites. I mean, the emotion was felt. While watching, I could feel how Dohyun fell in love with Rijin that very instant.  Or maybe, I was just too caught off guard because it looked so natural? So natural that if I didn't know Ji Sung's married to Lee Boyoung, I would have thought there's something going on between him and his current leading lady. LOL I initially thought that the this Korean drama scene was filmed at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza but there was no skating rink there. But luckily, I came across...

[Kill Me, Heal Me/킬미힐미] KISS SCENE ALERT: Shin Se Gi & Oh Rijin's First Kiss

second photo from bhmj0929 Everland 199 Everland-ro, Pogok-eub, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기 용인시 처인구 포곡읍 에버랜드로 199) Shin Se Gi ( Ji Sung ) dared to try the dating game but failed initially. It wasn't until he brought Oh Rijin ( Hwang Jungeum ) to this place that he actually succeeded - only to be cockblocked by Cha Dohyun. LOL. So the kiss happened for Kill Me Heal Me . It was very emotional. IT WAS TOTALLY MOVING because I'm very, very into kiss scenes where guys cry. I don't know but it's just that that particular scene doesn't happen often and it takes a great deal to actors to do that. Ji Sung pulled off such painful scene. I'm happy. Anyway, Everland - as we all know - is one of the most amazing amusement parks in the world. There is no way I'm letting pass any opportunity to visit this place. There is something in this place that will surely bring me back to my childhood yet preserve my being adult. Of course, Disneyla...
