SBS Prism Tower 82 Sangamsan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 상암산로 82) When I posted the YGN Building location for Pinocchio , I was sent quite a few number of inquiries asking where MSC is. Back then, I didn't knew exactly, but in some scenes of the Korean drama, it showed that the entrances to both buildings are just in front of each other so I immediately guessed that they're just beside each other. True enough, they are. Thanks to the establishing scenes which came a little late, to be honest, I found where MSC Building . It is actually the SBS Prism Tower which is just beside the YTN Building . It is also located in Mapo-gu and while I don't assure 100% accuracy, I'm giving you the directions. HOW TO GET THERE? Saenuri Children's Park 1619 Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 상암동 1619) After Choi Dal Po ( Lee Jongsuk ) and Choi In Ha ( Park Shinhye ) spent the night together in his house, the two were walking the next morning in the Saenuri Children's Park. Pinocchio  is now in its 16th episode and as the story's obviously beginning to reach its climax, the end is probably nearing. I honestly don't know if I'm ready to let go of this Korean drama because it's really fun finding its locations. But I guess everything has to end. I'm thinking of doing Misaeng anyway. KANA 303 Tojeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 토정로 303) OKAY SO I'M STILL SPAZZING OVER PINOCCHIO 'S EPISODE 15 I'M SORRY FOR THE SPOILER BUT THIS JUST HAS TO BE POSTED OR I WON'T BE ABLE TO SLEEP. L O L So this is where they usually eat ramen and where the heart-stopping second kiss happened. This is a small restaurant as seen in this shot: Actually, this isn't the first time they used this restaurant to film an important scene. If I remember it correctly, this filming site was first introduced when Dal Po (Lee Jongsuk) and In Ha (Park Shinhye) ate together after focusing on the slippery ground news. NC Department Store 17 Gangseo-ro 56-gil, Gangseo-gu, Seoul (서울 강서구 강서로56길 17) Admittedly, this is an unfamiliar district to me, same as the department store. I have never heard about NC Department Store before so it's a great thanks to Naver for telling me about this. The NC Department Store is the real Beom Jo Department Store in Pinocchio . In the Korean drama, it is named after Seo Bum Jo (Kim Younggwang) as it is owned by his mother (Kim Haesook). The scene captured on the first photo above came from Episode 14 when Ki Hamyung/Choi Dalpo ( Lee Jongsuk ) revealed the truth. If you're watching the drama online, I bet you're now feeling the intensity of the story and how this shooting location plays a major part in the whole plot. It's just in Seoul. Nowon Police Station 283 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul (서울 노원구 노원로 283) One of the most important Pinocchio shooting locations is the police station where the main characters were stationed. In the Korean drama, it was always mentioned that they were stationed at Gangnam but I don't think that's actually the case in real life. LOL Anyway, this is the place. While I don't assure 100% accuracy, I kinda have a huge instinct that I'm right on this one. One reader had asked me about this when I couldn't upload anything onto the blog so although a bit late, I'm sharing to you the directions I told her. :) HOW TO GET TO NOWON POLICE STATION: To get there, the closest station would be 중계역 (Junggye Station) of the Green Line. Use Exit 3 . Upon exiting, walk towards the direction you're facing (towards South) and then turn left at 동일로206길 (Dongil-ro 206-gil). Shinsegae Department Store 63 Sogong-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul (서울 중구 소공로 63) I SWEAR THE JONGSUK/SHINHYE TANDEM IS NO JOKE After eating udon, Choi Dalpo ( Lee Jongsuk ) and Choi Inha ( Park Shinhye ) were walking along this particular street, talking about their feelings. But you know what made this place more special? It is where the two main characters had their first kiss! This is in Shinsegae Department Store in Chungmu-ro. The mall is basically one of the biggest malls in Korea and has been a favorite shopping place of many Korean artists. YTN Building 76 Sangamsan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 상암산로 76) Yes, the famous YGN News Company where Choi Dal Po ( Lee Jongsuk ) works as a reporter is actually YTN Building in Sangam-dong. It's a relatively new company, if I'm not mistaken. I don't think fans of Pinocchio can freely enter the building. Maybe, a picture from the outside will suffice if you really want to visit the filming locations of this Korean drama? Or maybe you can just look at the pictures at this blog ? 56-56 Jeunggaro2-gil, Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul So this is where Ki Jaemyung ( Yoon Kyunsang ) lives. This is the area where Choi Dalpo ( Lee Jongsuk ) went around to find news about snow-related accidents. And this... this is the house of Victoria and Nichkhun when they were filming WGM . I wouldn't have noticed that it's the actual place if there wasn't an establishing shot. The places where Dal Po was seen running are just around the area. One Mount Juyeop-2dong, Ilsan-seogu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi (경기 고양시 일산서구 주엽2동) On Episodes 7 & 8 of Pinocchio , the brothers have finally met after more than a decade of separation. Probably because Ki Jaemyung (Yoon Kyunsang) had long believed that Jaemyung is dead, only Dalpo ( Lee Jongsuk ) recognized his brother. To me, the scene was emotional enough, thanks to Jongsuk's acting skills. So the meeting place was actually One Mount in Gyeonggi Province. It is a mall, amusement park, and entertainment center rolled into one. The fashion stores and dining establishments are given, but there are other main attractions here! One Mount has a snow park, which is perfect during the winter season. It even has a spot where people can ride sleds and enjoy. Kids will surely love it here! Cheongsan Island Buheung-ri, Cheongsan-myeon, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do (전남 완도군 청산면 부흥리) Okayyyy. So this is like a basic filming location of Pinocchio. During the first episodes of the Korean drama, Dal Po ( Lee Jongsuk ) and In Ha ( Park Shinhye ) were students who had to ride the ferry everyday to get to their school. Apparently, that's really the only means of transportation. Cheongsan Island is located off the southern coast of South Jeolla province. So it's between the mainland Korea and Jeju Island, and is reachable only by ferries. It's a beautiful place filled with fields of flowers and stone walls, overlooking the ocean. Although hanok houses are still common in the area, there are hostels and commercial establishments in the area already to accommodate the growing needs of tourists. Gureum Cafe 350 Dongjakdae-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul (서울 서초구 동작대로 350) Pinocchio is really getting more and more intense and I love the plot's development. The pace is just right, not too slow, not too fast - but definitely enough to keep the viewers hanging! So I'm not putting in much filming locations for this Korean drama because I usually just do screencaps with my phone (and I'm too lazy to transfer all files to the PC, LOL) but let's do it one by one. I promise to do my best before the drama ends. :p So okay, when In Ha ( Park Shinhye ) was humiliated by her own mother, Dal Po ( Lee Jongsuk ) saw her crying. So in order to avenge his 'niece', he brought Song Cha Ok (Jin Kyung) to this place after she incidentally hailed his taxi. Anyway, Gureum Cafe is set in Banpo Bridge.
