Foresta 59-6 Heiri Maeul-gil, Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기 파주시 탄현면 헤이리마을길 59-6) Ever wondered where that beautiful cafe where Jinhyuk and Nara met to talk about meeting the man's supposedly sister? Yeah, it's Foresta in Gyeonggi. It was once a filming location for the WGM episode of Hongki and Mina (this is where they met!) and since then, I fell in love with it. I love the simplicity yet the striking appeal of the place. But above all, I love the fact that it is like a mini-library where lots of books are available for reading! Once in a Blue Moon 824 Seolleung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (서울 강남구 선릉로 824) This is surely becoming a regular filming location for many Korean dramas. As usual, it features the characters drinking while listening to jazz singers. In the Korean drama Fated to Love You, the scene showed Daniel Pitt ( Choi Jinhyuk ) and Kang Miyoung ( Jang Nara ) talking about their status as almost-lovers. After what I believe was the rejection scene, the guy consoled his broken heart by singing a song. Or was it the other way around? LOL Either way, this is the place they went to. Once in a Blue Moon is a jazz bar in Gangnam, near everything else. It is easy to locate and is easy to reach. All you have to do is find your way to the Apgujeong Rodeo Station (Yellow Line) Exit 4 . From there, head south (towards the direction you're facing). Once in a Blue Moon is just like a few meters away. I remember Jinhyuk singing on Emergency Couple too. His voice's so manly. HAHAHA FOLL...

W Seoul - Walkerhill Hotel 177 Walkerhill-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul (서울 광진구 워커힐로 177) One of the most beautiful hotels in Seoul is the W Walkerhill Hotel. A branch of the international chain, this establishment totally raises the bar on modern accommodation. Even when I was working as a travel writer for a hotel booking company, this has been my favorite. The facilities were basically top-tiered and the services was superb. No wonder it has become one of the most prominent filming locations of Korean dramas, movies and variety shows. Even Super Junior filmed here . Perhaps, it's the fact that it's perched on an ideal location (fronting the river and quite away from the bustling metropolis) or maybe it's the fact that it's really perfect for all scenes? I don't know. But one thing is sure, W Walkerhill Hotel is an interesting place I would like to stay in when I'm in Seoul. That is if I have the money to pay for the lodge. LOL So yeah, ...

CLUB ELLUI 551 Dosandae-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (서울 강남구 도산대로 551) Located just beside the Hotel Ellui in Chungdam-dong, Club Ellui is where Daniel Pitt ( Choi Jinhyuk ) was shown drinking for a scene in Fated to Love You . You know, I've always been interested with the modern culture of Korea and that includes night life. A few times, I have expressed my desire to experience going around clubs in Seoul because I think it does pave way to a hidden yet blatant side of the Korean society. While Club Ellui is not in my must-visit list, I have to admit that this one got total class. I love the lighting that accentuates the sophistication of the black leather seats. I love how it gives off that vibe of seductive privacy. Because it is in Chungdam-dong and near top Korean entertainment companies, it is not a wonder if you'll spot some top actors and idols there. Katakomb 11 Wausan-ro 17-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 와우산로17길 11) This is by far one of the easiest places to locate. I haven't been to any part of Seoul yet but at first look, I knew immediately that that scene where Lee Geon ( Jang Hyuk ) and Daniel Pitt ( Choi Jinhyuk ) had a subtle drinking competition was filmed here. I have ID-ed  Katakomb Underground City  for quite a few times already so it's not difficult. This Hongdae bar indeed has a unique appearance which definitely amuses me to no end. I love how lights adorn almost majority of the bar's walls. Even the arcs were illuminated. However, no matter how Christmas-y the bar seems to me, the mysteriousness of the place was still highlighted because it does look like an underground hideout of some medieval organization. Dongdaemun Design Plaza 281 Ulji-ro Jung-gu, Seoul (서울 중구 을지로 281) Miyoung ( Jang Nara ) anonymously received an invitation to an art exhibition of a D. Pitt one day, not knowing that the artist was actually that man who she mistook as a priest in Gongseri Cathedral . This is also where Daniel Pitt ( Choi Jinhyuk ) managed to brew jealousy on Geon ( Jang Hyuk ) after hugging the latter's wife to check who he is actually. So basically, the exhibition was filmed at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It is that amazing architectural piece built in the heart of Dongdaemun, just beside the top shopping malls in Seoul. It features a rather futuristic design which I can blatantly compare to a UFO. Sorry not sorry, LOL. If you're following this blog, you'll see that I've ID-ed the place quite a few times already. second photo from here Gongseri Cathedral 10 Gongseri Seongdang-gil, Inju-myeon, Ansan-si, Chungnam-do (충남 아산시 인주면 공세리성당길 10) So I've been doing a Korean drama marathon and chose to watch Fated to Love You the whole day and I swear I'm glad I took time to actually watch everything in one go. Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara are so adorable together and I'm really enjoying Choi Jinhyuk , my favorite eye candy, on my screen. ^^ Okay. So in the drama, Daniel Pitt (Choi Jinhyuk) is an orphan. I skipped the first episode shamelessly so my first scene of my eye candy is when he was talking to a nun. The scene was filmed at the Gongseri Cathedral in Chungnam. The Gongseri Cathedral is a beautiful and charming cathedral in the province which is often a filming location for Korean dramas and movies. It is also a preferred wedding location of many Koreans because it provides a solemn and intimate atmosphere which is very much needed and favored during church weddings. For m...

쌍대포소금구이 291 Cheongpa-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul (서울 용산구 청파로 291) When Jinhee almost got fired during the first few episodes, she went to drink in this restaurant alone and bragged on her friends over the phone that she's already a doctor. During that time, Chief Gook saw her getting wasted. Then, after a confrontation among the three (with Jinhee in between, of course), Changmin went for a drink in the same restaurant and Chief Gook followed; and they drank together. RELATED: THE PARK WHERE YONGGYU AND CLARA WENT TO FOR A DATE And you know what the good news is? It's in Seoul, so it'll be damn easy for me to get there when I finally go to Seoul. Because if there is one location from Emergency Couple which I will really have to go, it's this restaurant. Hehe. It is the Ssangdaepo Sogeumgui ( 쌍대포소금구이 ), a famous grilled meat restaurant in the city which had been used by several Korean dramas already. That explains the signatures pasted on the walls. Sea and Turtle Pension House (바다와거북이펜션) 608 Jangguk-ri, Gonam-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do 충청남도 태안군 고남녀 장곡리 608 OFFICIAL WEBSITE On the last episode of Emergency Couple, Drs. Oh Changmin and Oh Jinhee were dispatched to a small hospital in Taean. They stayed in this beautiful pension house together for a week and that's basically where most of the scenes were shot. The venue is called the Sea and Turtle Pension House . It is a famous seaside vacation house in the Taean area and is a favorite shooting destination of many Korean dramas . This includes To The Beautiful You starring Choi Minho (Shinee) and Sulli (Fx). Inside its very relaxing building are beautifully designed rooms that highlight colors and cute interior designs. Just like what you probably saw in the last episode of the drama, most walls are painted with different characters, creating a really lovely and romantic vibe. Somehow, the rooms could also make you feel like a child all over again. ^^ ...

Gomtang Jib 1 Dongsomun-ro17-gil, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (서울 성북구 동소문로17길 1) Trying to woo Jinhee again, Changmin decided to force her to stay at his home to rest. In one scene, he was seen buying Oxtail Soup for them to eat for dinner. It was a sweet move from the ex-husband considering that he wasn't supposed to like that. But anyway yeah, this is where Jinhyuk filmed. I honestly thought it was in the Itaewon area because of the design but yeah, it's in Seongbuk-gu.
