[Pinocchio] Beom Jo Department Store

NC Department Store 17 Gangseo-ro 56-gil, Gangseo-gu, Seoul (서울 강서구 강서로56길 17) Admittedly, this is an unfamiliar district to me, same as the department store. I have never heard about NC Department Store before so it's a great thanks to Naver for telling me about this. The NC Department Store is the real Beom Jo Department Store in Pinocchio . In the Korean drama, it is named after Seo Bum Jo (Kim Younggwang) as it is owned by his mother (Kim Haesook). The scene captured on the first photo above came from Episode 14 when Ki Hamyung/Choi Dalpo ( Lee Jongsuk ) revealed the truth. If you're watching the drama online, I bet you're now feeling the intensity of the story and how this shooting location plays a major part in the whole plot. It's just in Seoul. [Birth of a Beauty] The Family House where Lee Kangjoon Lives

Pyeongchang 34-gil, Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul (서울 종로구 평창동 평창34길) One of the most beautiful houses I've seen was used in Korean drama Birth of a Beauty. This is the house used as the family home of Lee Kangjoon, and is where Sa Geum Ran used to live. If you think the surrounding's familiar, well you might have seen this The Heirs filming site . It's just in the same area. ^^ Although this is used as a drama location, I think it's still a private property so if you're visiting the place when you travel to Seoul, make sure you're not disturbing, okay? :) FOLLOW US FOR MORE UPDATES! [Birth of a Beauty] Wedding Dress Shop

Blanche Neige 35 Bongeunsa-ro 29-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (서울 강남구 봉은사로29길 35) In Episode 15 of Birth of a Beauty , the couple decided to get their dress and tuxedo for their wedding. However, their happiness is threatened because the past is starting to haunt them once again. The scene of the Korean drama was filmed in Blanche Neige in Gangnam. If I'm not mistaken, it is in the lower floor of the building shown above. Based on the pictures I've seen, I can describe it as a cozy but elegant place, perfectly exuding that sophisticated and romantic charm that completes a couple's fitting experience. :) To be honest, I'm very amazed with the wedding culture in South Korea. I love the beauty of each step throughout the preparation. ^^ Cute! For more pictures of the place, kindly visit these blogs: shinysinbi  | etkitty FOLLOW US FOR MORE UPDATES! [Pinocchio] The Police Station

Nowon Police Station 283 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul (서울 노원구 노원로 283) One of the most important Pinocchio shooting locations is the police station where the main characters were stationed. In the Korean drama, it was always mentioned that they were stationed at Gangnam but I don't think that's actually the case in real life. LOL Anyway, this is the place. While I don't assure 100% accuracy, I kinda have a huge instinct that I'm right on this one. One reader had asked me about this when I couldn't upload anything onto the blog so although a bit late, I'm sharing to you the directions I told her. :) HOW TO GET TO NOWON POLICE STATION: To get there, the closest station would be 중계역 (Junggye Station) of the Green Line. Use Exit 3 . Upon exiting, walk towards the direction you're facing (towards South) and then turn left at 동일로206길 (Dongil-ro 206-gil). It's like a block away from the station exit and it's before the Junggye Green Park

[Legendary Witch] Trial at the Seoul Central Court

Seoul Central District Court 1737-1 Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul (서울 서초구 서초동 1737-1) The trial scene of Soo In (Han Jihye) was probably filmed here. Probably, because who knows? They might have just used the facade of this building as an establishing shot. Hehe. :) Anyway, this is the Seoul Central Court. It appears often in Korean dramas which involves divorces, court trials, and more. I've seen a lot of scenes showing this place already but my favorite would be the ones from I Hear Your Voice . [Legendary Witch] The Prison

Prison Set 207 Hamnang-ro, Seongdang-myeong, Iksan-si, North Jeolla (전북 익산시 성당면 함낭로 207) NOW THIS AMAZED ME SOUTH KOREA ACTUALLY HAS BUILT A WHOLE NEW PRISON TO BE USED AS A FILMING LOCATION FOR KOREAN DRAMAS, MOVIES, ETC. IF THAT'S NOT AMAZING, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE IS. Now, let's not ask anymore where Two Weeks and Miracle Cell No. 7 were filmed, okay? :) I'm also guessing that the prison scenes in It's Okay, That's Love were shot here too. [Legendary Witch] The Wake Venue/Burial Place

Yongin Forest of Tranquility 77 Pyeongonisup-ro, Idong-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기 용인시 처인구 이동면 평온의숲로 77) I really had no plans in watching this Korean drama but I did when Ai Fung requested for the locations, and I ended up getting interested with the plot. :) Anyway, this is the Yongin Forest of Tranquility, a wake/burial place in Gyeonggi. It is located in the mountains, like most cemeteries in the country. For more pictures, you can visit these blogs: yonginsiblog.kr  | jungsun0306 FOLLOW US FOR MORE UPDATES! [Hotel King] The Beach House in the Final Episode

Cafe 시인과바다 1887 Haean-ro, Jumunjib-eup, Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do (강원 강릉시 주문진읍 해안로 1887) This is where Dongwook moved with his mother after letting go of the Ciel Hotel. It was where some scenes of the final episode of Hotel King was filmed. Cafe 시인과바다 is a beachfront cafe. The name Siingwa Bada literally translates to "The Poet and the Sea" and it's kinda appropriate because with the beautiful location of this beautiful place, anyone can really delve into literary glory. In the Korean drama, it was shown that polaroid pictures of the casts were hang on a small clotheslines in the window. If I'm not mistaken, it's still there up to now. [Birth of a Beauty] Dunkin Donut Branch

Dunkin' Donuts 93 Sejongdae-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul (서울 중구 세종대로 93) It's pretty obvious that Dunkin' Donuts is a major sponsor of Birth of a Beauty , right? Several scenes have shown the characters filming in a branch, and I'm guessing that I have found the place they're using for the Korean drama. If I'm not mistaken, it's this one near the Sicheong Station, along Sejongdae-ro. But the easiest landmark is that it's just beside the main entrance of Deoksugung , one of the five grand palaces in Seoul and is a favorite tourist attraction in Seoul. It's fairly easy to get there. All you have to do is to find your way to Sicheong Station. Both green and blue lines will pass by this stop. You can use Exits 1 or 2 if you used the Blue Line; or Exit 12 if you rode the Green Line. FOLLOW US FOR MORE UPDATES! IMPORTANT NOTE: This post may not be 100% accurate.

[Birth of a Beauty] Park Man Duk's (Tae Hee's Grandmother) House

The Greem 175 Sanasa-gil, Okcheon-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do (경기 양평군 옥천면 사나사길 175) While Taehee ( Joo Sangwook ) lives on his own, his grandmother was living with the main villains. This is the house. While it's quite weird pronouncing its name especially that it's almost Christmas time, it's beauty never fades. The Greem is actually a cafe in Yangpyeong-gun in Gyeonggi Province and is primarily visited by locals and tourists alike because of its romantic, relaxing and stunning environment. Looking at the place in pictures, it really makes me feel like it's a different country. Somehow, the 'European countryside' feel is there and it just intensifies the beauty of the place. The Greem is often used as a filming site for many dramas and movies in South Korea. Those who watch Korean dramas can easily identify it because of its distinct appeal. If you watched Doctor Stranger , it was used there as the house of Oh Soohyun ( Kang Sor

[Miss Korea] Lee Sunkyun at Shilla Jeju Hotel

Shilla Hotel 3039-3beonji, Saekdal-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju Island I've been going through my files and I saw that I have a lot of places yet to ID for some other Korean dramas. That's why if you're gonna see a lot of Throwback Thursday-worthy posts like this, forgive me. :) So this one is in Jeju Island. It is one of the most luxurious hotels in Jeju and many VIPs come there for staycations. It is a usual filming site of Korean dramas, like Marry Him If You Dare . [Grandpa Over Flowers] Kim Heechul at One Mount

One Mount Juyeop-2dong, Ilsan-seogu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi (경기 고양시 일산서구 주엽2동) If not for Pinocchio , I wouldn't have found this location for Grandpa Over Flowers. I didn't get to watch the Korean drama that much but because it's Kim Heechul , I realized that I should post this one nevertheless. Okay, so this particular location is actually a cultural center in Goyang. This hanok stands inside the vast complex of One Mount perhaps to represent the important culture of South Korea in the midst of modernity. And I always think that's genius! [Let's Eat] Doojoon and His Date at Anthracite

Cafe Anthracite 10 Tojeong-ro 5-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울 마포구 토정로5길 10) Okay, so I'm trying to keep my promises and though it's quite difficult, I'm trying to continue working on the Let's Eat filming locations. For those who couldn't remember, Let's Eat is a Korean drama which plot basically puts focus on different restaurants and local dishes. It stars Yoon Doojoon , leader of boy group B2ST. This is just one of the many . And this is Cafe Anthracite in Mapo-gu. It may look like a really unattractive place but I really like how it feels private and quiet in there.
