Gwanghwamun Square
1-57 Sejong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul
종로구 세종로 1-57
One of the biggest events in South Korea every year is the World Cup season. As the citizens have intense love for soccer (futsal) and are very competitive, they support the Korean Soccer Team (Red Devils) with all their might - and they will take it even to the streets to show their dedication and undying love.
This year, South Korea also participated in the World Cup Season in Brazil and as expected, Koreans were ecstatic. Even the members of Roommate weren't exempted in the hype. Some of them even went to Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul to watch with the people the first game against Russia. Unfortunately though, the score was tied - and in the end of the season, SK didn't make it to the finals.

Anyway, Gwanghwamun Square is one of the most ideal tourist destinations in Seoul. It's like a must for every foreigner to visit. It is a boulevard located in front of the Gyeongbok Palace in the heart of Jongno-gu. It features the statues of Admiral Yi Sun Shin and King Sejong. It is actually a nice Korean drama filming site and many dramas had used it as their location.
Many of those who are on tours to Korea are missing a lot if they don't come here.
