Andante : Yeogang High School

Yeogang High School 337-8 Yeogang-ro, Buknae-myeon, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do 경기도 여주시 북내면 여강로 337-8 EXO's Kai has dipped his hand on acting and this is his first major project, I suppose. Paired with model-turned-actress Kim Jinkyung, Kai plays the role of Lee Si Kyung, a high school student who really does bad in school but is nonetheless, a good person. As this Korean drama is a youth-oriented program with students for its main characters, it is just right that most of the scenes were filmed in a school. And in this case, scenes are filmed in Yeogang High School in Gyeonggi. I am yet to watch the full episodes but as Kai is a top star, I think the Korean drama filming locations were concentrated on this area only. Let's see. :) IMPORTANT NOTE: This post may not be 100% accurate .

While You Were Sleeping: The Plate (Plate 607)

The Plate/Plate 607 Jukjeon-ro 15beon-gil, Bojeong-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province 경기도 용인시 기흥구 보정동 죽전로15번길  When Hong Nam Joo (Bae Suzy) followed Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jongsuk) one night, she was shown looking through the windows of a restaurant. Jaechan found her instead and did the same, unknown to the girl. The scene was shot at The Plate (formerly Plate 607) in the Coffee Road in Bojeong, Yongin in the province of Gyeonggi. Made obvious by its name, it is a small neighborhood known for its coffee shops and quaint stores. Any social media fanatic, photographer, or blogger will surely enjoy a day or night trip to this place! When I first saw the scene, I immediately recognized this Korean drama filming location. I have first seen this in Gentleman's Dignity starring Kim Haneul and Jang Donggun. Remember the red thread chaos in the first episode and the proposal/dancing scenes in the last? Yep, filmed here. :) In the photo above, I used Google Maps to sho

Melo Holic : Wonhyo Bridge

Wonhyo Bridge Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul 서울특별시 영등포구 여의도동 (below photo from Wikipedia) Wonhyo Bridge is the 13th bridge to be built across the Han River. It is often a filming location for many Korean dramas and I think it's mainly because of its location. As it connects Yongsan and Yeongdeungpo Districts, it is near a prime commercial and tourist center that is Yeouido. The first meeting of Yoo Eunho (Jung Yunho) and Kyung Soojin (Han Yeri) happened here. Dumped by their partners, they got drunk together. The scene appeared on the first episode of the Korean drama Melo Holic. In my opinion, Melo Holic's purpose is to reinstate Yunho as an actor. The wordplay on the name of the actor and the character was funny, but creative nonetheless. If this production becomes a success, the "Eun Ho" which is very close to "Yun Ho" will be a household name. See the logic? IMPORTANT NOTE: This post may not be 100% accurate.

While You Were Sleeping : SBS Building

SBS Broadcasting Center 161 Mokdongseo-ro, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul 서울특별시 양천구 목동서로 161 SBS 방송센터 In the Korean drama While You Were Sleeping, Hong Nam Joo (Bae Suzy) is a tenacious reporter of SBC, a news company. Every morning, Jung Jae Chan (Lee Jongsuk) will bring her to work to keep her safe. The workplace which is actually the SBS Broadcasting Center in Seoul. To get there, use the  purple line  and get off the Omokgyo Station Exit 2. Upon exiting, you will see an intersection. Cross the street to the Hyperion Building (beside Choi Siwon's Hyundai Department Store) and then walk straight until you see the red circle monument of SBS. Super Junior in Running Man at the Jincheon National Training Center

Jincheon National Training Center 충청북도 진천군 광혜원면 회죽리 (Hoejuk-ri, Gwanghyewon-myeon, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do) For a long-time fan like myself, every KPOP idol comeback mandates guesting on Korean variety shows; and one of the only few shows to really guarantee viewership is Running Man. Although it is quite impossible for any KPOP fan to not know what it is, let me still explain that it is a long-standing program of SBS currently featuring Yoo Jaesuk, Ji Sukjin, Song Jihyo, Kim Jongkook, and rapper Haha. With its reputation, it is of no wonder why Super Junior chose to guest on this program. The current show's members are actually close with SJ members so everyone should anticipate. Not to mention that the girls of Red Velvet (I love Irene! hihi) guested alongside the boys. To celebrate the group's guesting, I located their filming location, the Jincheon National Training Center in North Chungcheong Province. And believe me, nothing seems better than this p

HAN JAE CHAN'S HOUSE: Jungang-ro, Chuncheon, Gangwon Province Actual address: 57 Jungang-ro, 67beon-gil, Chuncheon, Gangwon Province   This is the house where Jaechan (Jongsuk) lives with his brother. [MV: One More Chance] Super Junior Yesung at Banpo Bridge

A brand new  Super Junior music video  had just been released and it's making everyone feel so emotional right now.  One More Chance  is seriously one nostalgic song about a guy who wishes to get back with his loved one. While it does sound romantic, it appeals to me like a song of plea to their fans to take them back. WE'RE MORE THAN WILLING, GUYS. We've waited long enough. So to celebrate this  Super Junior comeback , I dedicate the first post on Manager Hyung (after a terribly long hiatus) to them! Majority of  One More Chance MV shooting locations  were indoors. Only Yesung and Hae went out. Yesung was seen running along the ever famous  Banpo Bridge  in Seoul. It is exciting to note that this was also where they filmed S.E.O.U.L MV. One of the many South Korea tourist spots, this magnificent structure is the double-deck bridge connecting Yongsan and Seocho Districts. It is famous for its magnificent rainbow fountain display at night. IMPORTA
